Thomas

Our son Thomas was diagnosed with kidney problems when I had my 20 week scan, he was monitored closely during my pregnacy and upon his arrival he was whisked away for all sorts of scans and tests.

Thomas was diagnosed with two conditions on the same kidney. This condition was monitored and checked in the hospital every three months. Tests showed that the use of his kidney function was dramatically reducing. First 60% use, then within 3 months this had dropped to 30% function. Thomas'consultant at this stage realised with a Consultant and Surgeon from Alder Hey, that Thomas should have two keyhole surgeries.

At this point I took Thomas to the Healing Rooms. Thomas was  taken with me into a room for the team to pray over him. He physically changed, he seemed to revert back to a baby, he crawled onto my knee and lay across me like he did when he was a baby, completely relaxed and closed his eyes. The team prayed. Thomas seemed different - I noticed his peacefulness and he seemed gentle and calm.

My husband and I noticed a changed boy over the next days and weeks. As a result I went back to Thomas's consultant and asked for him to be re-tested. The tests showed that the deteriation had completely stopped at 30% function. The consultant, still worried it could get worse asked for Thomas to be tested again in 3 months. And he was - still everything at 30% function. The consultant just could not believe it. I could. Thomas didn't have to have the surgey at all and is now on 6 monthly checks.
